SUR PROPOSES NEW HOMES FOR BURNHAM

Slough Urban Renewal (SUR) is launching a new public consultation for residential development proposed on the Haymill site in Burnham, which sits between Burnham Lane and Littlebrook Avenue.

The proposals comprise 33 new homes including two, three and four-bedroom houses, along with a central green amenity space. The development will include 30% affordable homes, to meet local housing needs.

SUR is seeking to engage with the local community.

Members of the public are invited to participate in an online public consultation, which will run from 21st September to 4th October 2023.

Andy Howell, General Manager at Slough Urban Renewal (SUR): “Our proposed development is designed to deliver much needed housing within the borough and a great new place to live. We are keen to gather views from the local community on our emerging proposals, so that we can shape and refine our designs, ahead of submitting a formal planning application later in the year.”

The proposed development site is located on brownfield land, which is surplus to the requirements of Slough Borough Council. Aside from the Council’s Community Transport Team, which had a base in the south west corner, the land has been largely unused for the last 10 years.
